What type of events do you cater for?
We cater for all kinds of events: wedding breakfasts, evening wedding receptions, garden parties, corporate events, special birthday parties or anniversaries, engagement parties, christenings, hen parties, charity galas and fund-raisers.

Do you have a maximum or minimum guest count?
We can cater for up to 500 people in one sitting and more on a rolling basis. The minimum we cater for is 30-50 people as we have a minimum spend of £850 plus VAT on catering costs.

What do you bring with you?
We will bring a gazebo a cook under (3m x 3m) and tables to serve from. We also provide biodegradable food boxes, wooden forks and napkins free of charge.

Is there anything you need from us, like running water or electricity or lighting?
We need a minimum of 4 square metres to set up our gazebo. This needs to be level ground otherwise the paella doesn't cook evenly. Areas that are sheltered from the wind are best.

We cook our paellas on portable gas burners which run off bottled propane gas, so we're completely self-sufficient and don't need electricity. If we're cooking in the dark, we'll bring our own battery-powered lighting.

Access to running water is useful, but not a must. If there isn't any, just let us know and we'll bring our own.

FAQ

If you're thinking of having a paella party, the first step is to contact us to check if we're available on your date; some months are very popular for a paella party and we get booked up early.
Once we've confirmed that we're available, we will send you our tapas and paella menus along with a tailored quote, based on your choices.

Can I try some of your paella and tapas?
We offer tastings for weddings where you can try some of our signature tapas and paellas, washed down with a glass of chilled white Rioja. We host these at our home in Brighton on Sundays and weekday evenings.
You can bring up to four people with you and it's a great chance to try the food you're thinking of having and to talk through your wedding plans. We charge £75 for this service. However, if you decide to book us, we refund this on your final invoice.

Sofie Cole: 'Vamos Paella gave us very personal service. Melissa is really lovely. She cooked the most delicious Barcelona Paella we had ever had. It looked, smelled and tasted beautifully!
We will definitely use her again and I've had friends who came to our party asking for her details - I suppose that says it all.'
